The Social Administration runs a wide range of activities within elderly care, disability services, health and medical care, and individual and family care. We currently have about 250 employees.

The Social Administration conducts activities within elderly care, disability services, health and medical care, labor market and integration, as well as individual and family care.

In the open care sector, we will have 4.5 therapists and one team leader. You will be organizationally part of the open care sector but will have your main tasks within the family center's operations.

About the Position

The position is a fixed-term employment for one year with a great possibility of extension and permanent employment. The scope is 50 percent. Working hours are scheduled for two full days and one half day per week: full day Tuesday, half day Thursday, and full day Friday.

Job Responsibilities

The main assignment of the position is linked to the preventive and collaborative activities of the family center. You will primarily work as a family therapist within the family center's mission, which includes participating in leading open preschool, baby café, and home visit programs in collaboration with child health care. The work is carried out together with coordinators for the family center, staff from MVC and BVC, as well as your colleagues in open care. You share premises and have a common mission to offer early, preventive, and easily accessible interventions for children, youth, and families.

In this role, you will also provide advisory and supportive conversations as well as other non-needs-tested interventions aimed at children, youth, and families aged 0–18 years. All interventions are provided without assistance decisions according to the Social Services Act (2025:400). Therefore, the position does not include assistance-assessed or individually granted open care interventions.

The work is preventive, voluntary, and easily accessible, aiming to strengthen parenting skills, promote the development of children and youth, and contribute to early support in families' daily lives. The position is an important part of the municipality's work with early and coordinated interventions to create good and equal conditions for children and youth in Lekeberg.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a social worker, educator, or has another equivalent higher education that the employer deems relevant.

It is advantageous if you have experience in preventive work with children, youth, and families, preferably within a family center, open activities, or parental support. Experience in leading group activities is also advantageous. Training in the safety circle is a plus.

You need to be comfortable working independently while enjoying close collaboration with other professionals and stakeholders. The work requires good communication skills, flexibility, and a pedagogical approach. We place great importance on personal suitability.
